Project Summary

Our Buccambeabilbee House project is a testament to embracing the unexpected. Situated on a site that could test any builder's mettle, we leaned into the terrain's uniqueness. We crafted a distinctive structure using three 20 ft shipping containers at the top of a remote hill, cleverly arranged to shape the building's character. Above, four exposed steel trusses gracefully form the architectural masterpiece of the roof.

This remote gem was a logistical puzzle. With no access for delivery trucks, we relied on trusty tractors to carry every material, turning a rugged site into a construction haven. Concrete was mixed by hand, infusing each element with our dedication and craftsmanship. Sustainability was a priority, with Australian hardwood beams, locally sourced rough-sawn cladding, warm birch plywood ceilings, and internal joinery.

Local blue stone structural walls anchor this architectural wonder. This project embodies our spirit of innovation and resilience, all fueled by our unwavering commitment to excellence.

Joss and his team were terrific. I have been in the construction industry for over 40 years and
dealt with a number of tradesmen and builders throughout the years. The build we had was
particularly difficult due to location and design but Joss and the boys did an outstanding job.
They were all diligent, polite, helpful, and always put the effort in. We would highly recommend
Joss and his team for any build or renovation.
