Project Summary

In the heart of a sought-after beachside suburb, we breathed fresh life into an 80's brick house with a touch of modern flair. This project is all about blending the old with the new, creating a harmonious contrast between the charred cladding and the timeless red brickwork that tells a story of time passed.

As you step inside, you'll find a space that effortlessly captures the essence of beachside living. The private backyard basks in the warm northern light, making it the perfect spot to relax by the striking off-form concrete plunge pool.

Our choice of materials was deliberate, each one adding its own unique character. Shou sugi Ban-style charred cladding creates a stunning focal point, while feature hardwood beams add a touch of rustic charm. Blackbutt timber features prominently in the windows, doors, floors, and benchtops, infusing the space with natural beauty. Polished concrete floors bring an industrial edge to this coastal haven.

This project is a reflection of our commitment to combining style with practicality, seamlessly blending old and new elements to create a home that captures the spirit of beachside living in every detail.
