Project Summary

For the Boomerang House project, we tackled a real challenge – an elevated site with limited access. No fancy machinery here, just good old-fashioned hard work. Every piece of material was carried up by hand, turning adversity into an opportunity for hands-on craftsmanship.

Inside, we gave the kitchen, living, and dining spaces a thoughtful makeover.

The real heart of this transformation was the bespoke Australian hardwood joinery, carefully cut and handcrafted on-site. It's a perfect match for the unique Dylan Wood slot-together cabinetry, blending function and style seamlessly.

Highlighted Features and Materials

  • Dylan Wood's CNC slot-together kitchen cupboards: Crafted from Australian hardwood film-faced plywood.

  • Custom recycled spotted gum benchtops and shelving.

  • Hand-forged brass steelwork.

Our architect had designed an innovative interior with many components. Joss embraced
this challenge and nothing was too much trouble for him to bring this vision to a reality.

The whole work was completed in just under two months, and we remained in residence throughout this time. Everything proceeded to plan without any problems or delays. Joss was able to co-ordinate external tradespersons whenever needed, so that other electrical
and plumbing work could be done in a timely manner.

Joss is a true craftsman and was very professional in all his dealings with us. He kept us well-informed and consulted with us at every stage of the work.

We certainly got value for money and would highly recommend Joss and his team to others.
